Required Documents

 

A registrant must provide NITC with the following documents to proceed with the registration process. Documents must be in Arabic or translated into English by an authorized translation office. 

Domain Names under (.com.jo)

These domain names are related to legally authorized Commercial Entities and must submit one of the following documents:

  •  Registration license, trade name, certificate of profession practicing or profession license for the registrant.
  • The trademark license if the required domain name is a trademark (TM) or a public word.
  • Media Commission approval if the domain name is electronic news website


Domain Names under (.net.jo)

These domain names are related to legally authorized Service Providers and Networks and must submit one of the following documents:

  • Registration license, trade name, certificate of profession practicing or profession license for the registrant.
  • The trademark license if the required domain name is a trademark (TM) or a public word.

Domain Names under (.org.jo)

These domain names are related to Not-for-Profit Organizations and Foreign Diplomatic Missions in Jordan and   must submit one of the following documents:

  • Legal document for the establishment of the organization within Jordan in accordance with Jordanian laws and legislations.
  • Legal document for the establishment of an external organization and an official letter requesting domain name registration.

  • A formal letter from The Ministry of External Affairs signed by authorized personnel for the Foreign Diplomatic Missions in Jordan.

 Domain Names under (.gov.jo)

 These domain names are related to Jordanian Governmental Entities and must provide NITC with official letter signed by authorized personnel requesting domain name registration.

 

Domain Names under (.mil.jo)

These domain names are related to Jordanian Military Entities and must provide NITC with official letter signed by authorized personnel requesting domain name registration.

 

Domain Names under (.edu.jo) or (.sch.jo)

These domain names are related to Jordanian Educational Institutes and schools (public and private) and must submit one of the following documents:

  • A copy of the private schools license issued by Ministry of Education.
  • A copy of the approval decision to establish a university or a middle university college issued by Ministry of Higher Education.
  • An official letter signed by authorized personnel for the public education institutes and schools. 

Domain Names under (.per.jo)

These domain names are related to Jordanian and non-Jordanian Persons above 18 years and must submit one of the following documents:

  • A Copy of Civil Status ID.

  • Copy of passport.
 

Domain Names under (.phd.jo)

These domain names are related to Jordanian and non-Jordanian Ph.D. Holders and must submit one of the following documents:

  • A copy of Civil Status ID or passport.
  • A copy of signed Ph.D. certificate from Jordanian Universities or signed equivalence certificate from Ministry of Higher Education.

 

 Domain Names under (.jo) or (.الاردن)

These domain names are related to all entities entitled with top-level domain names except Jordanian and non-Jordanian persons and must submit the documents requested before.



 Domain Names through Jordanian Intellectual Property (IP) Firms or other parties


The registrant may register its domain name through Jordanian Intellectual Property Firms or any other party (reseller, service provider …). The registrant must provide NITC with a copy of signed and sealed authorization letter, authorization letter signed by Jordanian lawyer or an Arabic or English copy of POA certified by the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs or one of its diplomatic missions outside Jordan, in addition to the required supporting documents
